We answer for everything we sell, whether we pressed it ourselves or bought it in. The two need different guarantees, so here are both.
Briquettes, which we make
Every batch is made from the same two inputs and pressed to the same density, so what arrives in June behaves like what arrived in March.
Typical figures
- Calorific value — 4,000 to 4,600 kcal/kg
- Moisture — under 10%
- Ash — under 5%
- Diameter — 90 mm
- Packing — 50 kg bags, or loose by the tonne
Figures are typical of ordinary production. Ask us for the current batch analysis if your process needs a number you can hold us to, and we will send it with the quotation rather than after the order.
Everything we source
The rest of the catalogue is bought in, and our job there is to buy well and be answerable for it.
- Known manufacturers. We buy from suppliers we have bought from before. Where a line is certified — safety equipment especially — we supply the certificate with it.
- Checked before despatch. Counted, inspected for damage in transit, and matched against what was ordered.
- Named on the quotation. If a specific make or grade matters to you, say so and we will quote that one rather than an equivalent.
- Held or sourced, and we say which. Stock at Sipcot goes out the same day. Anything sourced to order carries a lead time on the quotation.
If something is wrong
Tell us on delivery. Short counts, transit damage and anything that does not match the quotation are ours to put right, and we would far rather hear about it than have you quietly buy elsewhere next month.
